Theater

Lysistrata 2411 A.D
chicago 1987

Role:            Kinisias
Place:          Center Theater.
Playwright:  Dale Calandra and Donald Coates

That was my first professional job.  It was directed by Dale Kalandra, who taught me to let go of all inhibition and who helped me do that by giving me the biggest phallus in the production.  Lysistrata only works if the actors are wearing phallus'.  It was the first time in years that I actually had fun acting.  It was the beginning of everything good. I've never had more fun rehearsing anything really. Lysistrata was for a non-union theater which paid their actors a very small amount, so it was technically, at least in my mind, professional - I got paid. JM.com 2007
